Tell us who and why they were, or even still are your favourite!!!
;D
Just to get you started - mine was Tom Baker, because his Doctor was wacky and funny (bit like David's Doctor!!), and when you are a small child that really appeals!!! ;D

Had to be a copy cat and vote for Tom Baker too, he was my Doctor and I had the pleasure of meeting him when I was a speck of a child!!!
He was charming and funny and completely barking mad!
;D

I have to say that I did love Peter Davison too, I remember being so excited that he was so young!! Maybe Matt will get the same reaction from the little ones ;D

The first Doctor Who I really paid any attention to was Jon Pertwee, don't know whether it was because I liked Jon Pertwee, although I was quite wee at the time, so loving the guy was not on my agenda, I watched merely so I could hide behind the sofa mostly. Yeah Jon was the first Doctor in colour, I remember the others in b & w or maybe that was because we watched telly in black and white. Hmm. With Jon Pertwee we had Sarah Jane, because she was involved with the big spiders, she had one on her back. I remember the kids in the playground sitting around the circular drain cover, crosslegged, going ahm, ahm, trying to summon the spiders. I also liked the fact he had a car, he never used the sonic screwdriver or not that I remember and although the Tardis was there somewhere, I always remember Betsy the yellow car.
After Jon was Tom Baker, he was crazy. Jelly babies and a long scarf and floppy hat and a demonic smile with big teeth. My Dad liked him too, he made him laugh. I think Tom was very much like Christopher, he wasn't afraid to fight back. David's doctor is more of the 'choice' man, than a fighter - if that makes sense. I've just finished reading Genesis of the Daleks where Tom's Doctor had to return to Skaro for the Time Lords, and he meets Davros for the first time, and its the first time Sarah Jane meets him, which made it even more poignant when you remember Journey's End or the one before that when she hears Davros' voice and says 'I know that voice' or something like that. So it was good finding out the tiny details I'd forgotten about Davros and the Daleks and how the Daleks destroyed Davros at the end of the book. Interesting how he was rebuilt then. Must find the next book.
After Tom and before David, I didn't like any of the other Doctors, they just didn't work for me, maybe Davison, but the other Baker and McCoy were pathetic - sorry.

It seems I can't vote on this poll. Anyway my favourite Doctor is Sylvester McCoy.
