My name is Tracy, and with my good friend Sue we have started the website The Last Year of Ten and this forum to really send off the Tenth Doctor with a bang.
I am a really big fan of Doctor Who, and have been since the days of Tom Baker and Peter Davidson. But...I am an EVEN bigger fan of the wonderful David Tennant!
I am 32 years old and reside in the wonderfully chilly UK!!

Just had to join ... this is going to be quite a year. Ive been a Dr Who fan since the year dot and David is just THE BEST Doctor there has been. I don't want him to leave but appreciate the reasons he is doing so. My name is Patricia, Trish or Pat for short and I am from Bristol.
This year has been weird. I had a huge spine operation in August and because of my DVDs of David's work as The Doctor and his other acting roles I was able to have house calls by the best physician in the Universe, every day. Dr David Who .... My "getting well present" was a trip to Stratford to see Love's Labour's Lost and it was there that I met him. The production was the most beautiful play I have ever seen. It mean't so much to me that at the end I was in tears. I told him so and he smiled the most wonderful smile and said thank you. I would have loved to tell him how he had helped me get well, but the security hustled him away.
Now he has had a spine operation. Four months to the day after mine and, on the day after I went to London to queue for day of show release tickets for Hamlet. I was sad not to see him yet worried at the same time. Spine operations are serious with potential life changing complications. Thank God he has come through it successfully.
We may be facing a regeneration but the Tenth Doctor will never die ... he will always be with us. Lets not be sad, lets enjoy the Last Year of Ten ....

Hi
My name is Debbie, my best forum buddy is Pauline, she was the one who told me about this site and I thank her immensely for it. I love writing fictional stories especially Doctor Who stories and my other sci-fi stories, of which I'm getting published this Autumn if the recession lets up.
I write fan fics for the doctor who online forum under the name of likedoctorwho, but haven't been on for a while because I've been attending an OU course in fiction writing, to brush up my skills. I also write poetry and have written a few regarding the 10th Doctor.
I have always been a fan of Doctor Who, my first encounter with Davros was from behind the sofa, I liked Jon Pertwee, Tom Baker but lost interest in the rest until David came onto the screens. I'd never heard of David before then, but he was like Carol Vorderman, you hear his name and suddenly he's everywhere,, which is great for me, coz I can't get enough of him. His posters are all over my walls in the bedroom, I have 4 signed photos of him and hope to meet him in February if he's still in this country - if not, kids and I will be around Cardiff in the Doctor Who section of the city and Torchwood.
I think he's the best actor around and although I like others it feels bad in a way if I consider putting up the 007 poster on my desktop, even though I think Daniel Craig looks good toting that big gun. So I've always had a pic of David in Doctor WHo on my screensavers. Seems wrong not to. My kids and hubby are used to me going daft over David, I think they're secretly waiting for me to fall out of love with him. THEY'VE A LONG WAIT.
